Thorough Examinations & Supplementary Tests
These are required inspections, to be carried out by competent, tested and certified engineers, recorded and reported in a prescribed format; in much the same way as a car legally has to have an MOT certificate. These do not replace the requirements for servicing as the inspections do not contain any preventative or correctional functions.
These tests have now replaced the old LG1, LG5 & LG10 inspections. Your insurance inspector will ask to see either your LG certificates or your thorough examination certificate.
