Here at Euro Lifts we recognise the importance of community and believe that as a Family business with traditional values, it is important to give back to the community wherever possible.

Over the last 25 years, we have always supported local charities, social events and re-invested in the area that has always supported us, such as sponsoring local youth football teams, raising money for CLIC and hosting many fund raising events.

In recent years we have been building a strong relationship with St Luke’s Hospice, Plymouth and have been proud sponsor’s of their yearly “Strictly 1940’s Tea Dance” which has proved to be hugely popular year on year. It is held every December and as well as being fantastic value for money, it’s also a great afternoon out so please do call to get your tickets early for this year! Tickets are available directly from the Hospice on 01752 492626.
 
In 2010 we were proud to become St Luke’s Hospice Corporate sponsors and we can not praise the staff and the fund raisers enough for all the good work that they do.

As a matter of interest, 70% of the £5m raised each year comes from the local community in which the Hospice serves. Some useful statistics, just to give you an idea of how much things cost at the Hospice are as follows:-

£6,350 will pay for an average patient stay.
£400 will pay for inpatient care for one patient for one day.
£50 will pay for home cooked meals for one patient for one week.

Fundraising events and initiatives are constant and there are events for everyone to take part in. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in attending or supporting any of these events then please call the Fundraising Team on 01752 492626 where they will be delighted to hear from you.

St Luke’s are also collecting foreign coins. Please take any unwanted foreign or old coins into any one of the 20 St Luke’s Hospice shop nearest you.
